The Background

The Head Baker is in charge of every aspect of the back of house bakery operations and must have a “whatever it takes” attitude and philosophy to ensure the success of the store and the Coffeebar Bakery brand. The Head Baker will assist in the hiring process, develop talent, train, and hold BOH staff accountable to Coffeebar standards.

The Head Baker is responsible for inventory management, pricing integrity, product quality control, COGS, AP, labor costs and the operational processes to maintain company standards. The Head Baker oversees baking staff and procedures to ensure the bakery’s quality standards are enforced with both food & equipment while ensuring staff is complying with customer service and safety policies.

 

Requirements

Obsessed with details and honing your craft.

Passionate about food, pastry and creating high-quality products.

1+ years personal or professional baking experience.

Existing Food Handler's Certification or certification within 30 days post-hire.

Flexible schedule and able to work 5 days/week, mix of early morning and day shifts.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to genuinely connect with a large and diverse group of coworkers and customers.

Strong multi-tasking skills; ability to stay cool and collected in a busy cafe environment.

Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge.

Contribute to an inclusive work environment that respects the diversity of every colleague and guest.
